PRIORITY SECTOR STATUS TO ISEPC

The Ministry of Commerce vide letter No.9/26/2008 E&MDA dated 20th August, 2008 has granted Priority Sector status to Indian Silk Export Promotion Council in view of the DGFT’s Public Notice No.11 dated 5th May, 2008.
 
 The silk exporters now will be eligible for the benefits under MDA under Para. 3(ii)(2) as below:-

1. Two participation in General Area with MDA every year instead of earlier one General Area.
 
2. Maximum MDA of Rs.1,50,000/- for each participation in General Area including Air Fare for one individual participant.
 
3. In addition to above any two Focus Area participation with maximum MDA of Rs.1,80,000/- (including Air Fare) in LAC Countries.
